This is some of the saddest, most delusional stuff you'll ever read.
Poor fellas. One of my favorites is when one of them attempts to be logical about the current state of things:
"Let's make it simple. Mizzou used to be worse than us. They finished dead last in their conference three straight years, before our coaching changes. Even Groce never finished dead last, and he was almost unimaginably bad. Then, both schools fired their HCs, and hired new ones. Now, they're better than us. More wins, higher finish in conference, tourney bid...just better.
So, with a coaching change, they went from worse than us to better than us in one season. I'll be very surprised, with their returning talent, if they're not better than us in the coming season, too."
This post was immediately followed up by this infallible rebuttal:
"No offense, but this is idiotic.
How are they "better than us" when we have beaten them consistently? They did rack up more wins in their dogcrap, overrated conference that laid several large, juicy turds in the NCAA tournament the last couple of years. Big whoop. Wow, they beat Arkansas. What a program-changer!"
There it is fellas. No way we can compete with the illanoy juggernaut.
