So I usually do this for the bracket challenge at my work and it usually goes pretty good, and I got to thinking if we could do this amongst us PM'ers.
Basically it would work like this... I'll set up one of those private bracket challenge contests thru ESPN or SI or CBS Sports or somebody like that. And I'll also set up an account on PayPal just for this contest... Then if u wanna join, hit me up, I'll tell u where to send the $5 buy-in and then I'll give u the password for the contest... U would go on that site and fill out ur bracket urself and ESPN or whoever would keep track of everybody's brackets.
I know some people like to do more than one bracket, I'm cool with that, so long as u pay the fee for however many brackets u fill out... If u used to listen to Mike & Mike, then u know they used to argue about this all the time... Greenberg would say u should only do one bracket, while Golic would say I wanna win the cash so I'm doing more than one bracket. As far I'm concerned, it's up to u, so long as we agree that every person pays the fee for however many brackets they fill out.
As far as the money prize goes, it would sit in a PayPal account until we had a winner, and as soon as we had a winner, I would just transfer the money to that person's account... Wouldn't even have to write a check of fill out a money order, just a simple PayPal transfer and BOOM! our champion has their money.
So what do u guys & gals think? Can we do this?... Lemme know. I can set up the contest as soon as tomorrow morning... I'll be doing it for my work contest anyway, so it'll be no problem to do one for us too.
Oh, in case I wasn't clear, it would be a standard bracket challenge contest... Everybody fills out the entire bracket before the contest begins and u would have up until the games began on Thursday to make any changes... Once the first game tipped off on Thursday, the contest would be set up where nobody could make any changes. And we'd all be able to see each other's picks... ESPN would keep score and like I said, once we have a winner, I'd transfer the grand prize right away.
