A quick mini Monday Chamber for you all.
-- We had a little info in the Chamber on Friday about some of the junior colleges that the coaches will visit. Here is a little more info I've been able to track down on that.
Cornell Ford, Ryan Walters and Pat Washington will be splitting up the Mississippi junior colleges. Ford will be at Hinds to see Akil Teal at Northwest.
Sounds like Walters will head to Itawamba and Northeast. Marshall Eads are targets at Itawamba.
That leaves the south for Washington. That includes Pearl River, East Mississippi, East Central, Southwest, Copiah-Lincoln, Jones and Mississippi Gulf Coast. DeShawn Tillman are at East.
Andy Hill will be in Kansas and at Iowa Western. Desi Bigby Jr. will also get visits.
Hoping to have some more names in the next couple of days.
-- I continue to hear that Mizzou feels close to landing Trystan Castillo will get their rankings after the Rivals Camp in St. Louis. The two will get the chance to compete against each other in one-on-one drills.
-- I'll have a notebook on the Rivals Combine soon but wanted to drop off some information I got while there here first. East St. Louis offensive lineman Boe Wilson from Lee's Summit West. He has been hearing from Mizzou and recently picked up an offer from Louisville.
-- Final note is on 2015 basketball target Kyle Alexander. I traded messages with the Orangeville Prep (Ont.) center yesterday and he told me he is working on setting up an official visit to Mizzou. He has already visited St. Bonaventure and Rice and he will be visiting Tennessee next. He said the should have a decision on his Mizzou visit soon. Mizzou only has three official visits remaining so they are being pretty tight with them. They have to really like their chances with a kid to bring them in.
