*Sometimes after a loss you just say "Well, the other team was a lot better and that was that" and there's not much more to say. That's what there is with this one, but the team that was a lot better was Mizzou. Coming into this game, I questioned Arkansas' motivation. It was pretty clear pretty early on I was right to do so. The game was probably over before KJ Jefferson got hurt, but it was definitely over after that. There was no way the Razorbacks were winning without him. But I don't think that gives Mizzou enough credit. Because there was no way they were winning with him either.

*It was over for real, for real at 17-0. It was clear by that point Missouri had done enough.

*Brett Norfleet scored 12 points in six seconds. I'm honestly curious if anyone has ever done that in the history of college football. He scored with 1138 left in the third to make it 31-0. Then Arkansas fumbled the ensuing kickoff and he scored again with 11:32 left in the third to make it 38-0. Somebody's probably scored that close together before, but I don't know who or when.

*Triston Newson and Chuck Hicks were crushed for their play a week ago and it wasn't unfair. Let's sing their praises today. Newson had 15 tackles and two fumble recoveries and very well may end up the SEC defensive player of the week. Hicks had 6 tackles, 3.5 of them for a loss, and forced a fumble that Jay Jernigan returned for a touchdown. Not a bad day.

*Eli Drinkwitz stumped for Cody Schrader for Heisman after the game. He's not going to win it. But you get to put three people on your ballot and I'll think long and hard about putting Cody as one of my three. He currently leads the country in rushing yards. He probably won't end up first (Ollie Gordon and Omarion Hampton would pass him with 76 yards tomorrow) but it's still a hell of a thing. As Drink said, we've recognized that it's a feel good story...but it's a hell of a lot more than that.

*We probably don't talk enough about the line in front of Schrader. What a year they had. Yeah, there are some penalties here and there and you're always going to get at least one snap adventure a game, but those guys just line up and whip people. Credit to Brandon Jones for the job he has done.

*Where will Missouri go? I don't have any idea. My preferences would be:

Fiesta against the PAC-12 runner up
Peach against anybody except the G5 team
Cotton against Texas (or whoever)
Anywhere against the G5 rep

Not saying anybody should complain about any of the three. You're in and that's all that really counts and you play who they say you're going to play. This is just the order I'd choose them in.

Jarod's got one story up on the front, the postgame show is up there, I'm working on video and he's doing a notebook. Enjoy the night. Hell of a win, hell of a year.
