Talked to a few prospects over the last couple of days, here are a few notes to pass along:
- The in-state tight end is seeing his recruiting process take off in recent days having picked up offers from Kentucky, Arkansas, and Kansas. He told me he's been talking to Missouri's staff quite a bit and is hoping to visit in March whenever his basketball season ends. He seemed excited about the visit and meeting the new faces on the staff.
- Reached out to Nussmeier last night, who got re-offered by Missouri in early January. He told me that he communicates with the staff often, but I sense LSU, Penn State, and others have a leg-up here. The four-star prospect is wanting to make his college decision by Easter.
- The rising LB from KC was at Missouri two weekends ago for an unofficial visit and while the Tigers haven't offered yet, I wouldn't be surprised to see one extended sometime this spring. The 3-star prospect has already built a good relationship with linebackers coach DJ Smith and he likes what he's seeing from the new staff and told me he's looking forward to seeing how they do this fall. Kansas, Arkansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, and Tulsa are early offers for Hamilton-Jordan. I'll have more on him in a few days.
- Robinson (Ark.) had a group of players on Missouri's campus a couple of weeks ago, among that group was Harris, a 2022 offensive lineman target. I chatted with him last night and he's known new OL coach Marcus Johnson, who offered Harris while he was at Mississippi State, so there was already familiarity there. Had a lot of positive things to say about his visit and will be a national recruit in the 2022 class. I'll also have more on Harris in the next few days.
Among the other prospects from Robinson (Ark.) that were in attendance, included:
