So far as I can tell, this is not about anything off the field. There isn't some bombshell that's going to drop where we find out some magic reason (nothing like happened with Jackie Shipp has gone on here).
The defense isn't good. But here's the thing: This isn't DeMontie's defense. Odom has been calling the plays since late last year. He's in charge. If you're firing him because the defense isn't good, that's not fair because it's not his defense.
Frankly, if you were going to do this after two games, you should have done it in the offseason. It makes no sense to have not done it then but to do it now unless there is simply something that we don't know or are missing. And I'll allow that's possible. We get Odom on a teleconference tomorrow at 230 and obviously it's going to be all about this move and what led to it.
