The guy has won a lot of games at Toledo over the past few years and has been a steady program for many years. Somebody from a P5 is going to hire him just based of W/L record and it's going to end up disastrous.
The dude leached off of Matt Campbell's success for years and now that he's built his own program, it's a clusterfk that wins games by having better athletes. The guy recruits the Rust Belt better than anyone else in the MAC and has great athletes that really inflate his W-L record. But his teams are consistently undisciplined, lack fundamentals, and lack any situational awareness. Their all-star QB has the ball down 9 with under a minute left and that guy is burning time by taking sacks, scrambling, and throwing ill-advised passes way off rhythm. There's no structure or problem-solving in their offense, it's just "get the ball to the fast guy and let him out-run everybody!" Even in the bowl game against Liberty last year, their offense was completely thrown off because LU just blitzed off the edge every play.
I want better for the MAC. They're the last bit of college football left that has driveable games, regionality, strong rivalries, and a lot of kids playing for the love of the game. But Toledo is just going to run roughshod over the conference and consistently dissapoint in big games.
