First let me say that I didn't want to talk to him, he's a Dad on my son's basketball team. After I asked him if he found his beaker pullover at goodwill he said a couple of interesting things. He mentioned that he's a doctor and he does "support" the Athletic Department. He said the overall feeling is that this will be Self's last season. After mentioning that everyone in college basketball cheats, he admitted that ku is just as bad as any other school with the exception of Louisville. The belief is Self will go to the Nba preferably the Spurs to replace Pop.
Finally, he admitted the fans miss the rivalry and as much as he hates kansas st. the Tigers hold a special kind of hate in his heart. He noted that any ku fan that says otherwise is kidding themselves. I have to admit it made me happy to know there are other people who still love that rivarly as much as I do. I can't stand anything ku and just seeing product from that school makes me sick, this gentleman feels the same way.
