We lost the game in the first few minutes of each quarter. OSU outscored us 21-0 in the first five minutes of each half. That’s hard to overcome.
I see a bit of a metaphor for Odom’s coaching overall in this. Last two years, we’ve started out slowly but finished strong (regular season anyway) and in this game we started each half slowly but finished strong. We outscored them 27-10 in Qs 2 and 4.
To be long term successful, Barry is going to have to figure out how to get his teams to play well game 1 through game 12 and at the start of games and halfs.
