Attended what is traditionally the recruiting reception in St. Louis last night, although with NSD moving to December it was more of just a "check in" with the program now. Coach Odom, Coach Haley, Coach Ofodile, and Coach Ford were in attendance.

They all talked about the new signees coming in under their positions, but talked more on the football program in general than breaking down each new kid as in years' past. Here are a few things I took note of:

-Mizzou's Pro Day is March 21.
-AJ Ofodile was introduced as the WR coach, and really only talked about the WRs.
-Barry Odom is still very much fired up about fighting the sanctions/punishments levied by the NCAA COI.
-Coach Odom also seems incredibly more relaxed and comfortable in the position as Head Coach compared to the first time he came to this event.
-Coach Odom ran through the QB room and left off Jack Lowary, may have been accidental when trying to talk about 6 different guys, but I noticed.
-Cornell Ford said Anthony Watkins is a faster version of Larry Rountree.
-Brick Haley is a great story teller and an instantly likeable guy. He and Odom have a chemistry where they just kind of play off each other, seem like old friends telling stories, ribbing each other.
-When asked about guys on the DL that he expected to step up, Coach Haley said (in jest) that Akial Byers is hoping that some of the younger guys don't come along as much as they should so he can stay outside and avoid some double teams at DT, but he said he doesn't care if he's 270 or 300, he's playing inside.
-CH mentioned Trajan Jeffcoat and the improvements he made, and told a story about the game down in Tuscaloosa. Tre Williams was tired, Chris Turner was tired, "the other end was tired" and he was looking around for who to put in and he saw Trajan on the sideline and thought to himself "sh*t I guess I'm gonna have to put him in" so he called Jeffcoat's number, he played the series and came back to the sidelines and said "sh*t coach these guys are for real" and Coach Haley responded "sh*t ya they're for real, what'd you think they were? and you're going back out there."
-He also told the story about Darius Robinson's recruitment and it was just as great, said Darius has put on 12 pounds already since he's been on campus.
-Coach Ofodile said there's not a lot of guys that are as talented and also as hard of a worker (in high school) as Maurice Massey, he's incredibly polished.
-Coach Ford said Jalani Williams needs to learn to not lead with his head while tackling, but called him a head hunter.
-Coach Odom said David Gibbs will coach Corners, Ryan Walters will have Safeties and OLBs
-Coach Ford said Tyler Badie is still catching flak for his "incident" and has earned the nickname "Moon" Badie
-A question was asked if Daniel Parker was moving back to DL, which Coach Ford cut off and said we're not giving him back, Coach Haley said "well I guess that's been answered"
-That same question asked Coach Haley if he was multi-talented as the TE coach now, too and he said he doesn't have many talents, but he is bilingual - "English and Profanity, my players get to pick which one they get."

I only wrote 3 things down, so I guess I remembered a lot more than I thought; consider this a mini-Chamber, you're welcome @GabeD
