I have gotten some GREAT vacation advice and suggestions on here before so here goes.

My wife and I had planned to go to Glacier National Park this Summer...but our plans have changed since our daughter got relocated to Cleveland for a Pharmacy Residency program.

She's 9-10 hours away from all her friends and family for the next year...so we thought we'd postpone Glacier and reroute our vacation plans around a trip to Cleveland to see her.

I've already made the trip once to drive the moving van...and I'm not super excited...but I am keeping a positive attitude and open mind about this because I know that every state offers some interesting sites and things to do...IF you just know where to look.

We are leaving pretty soon (June 29th) and plan to be gone 6-8 days. HERE is a rough draft itinery:

FIRST NIGHT: Stay in Indianapolis (and do something...not sure what? (Brown County State Park, Middlebury Amish Country, Turkey Run State Park, Indiana Dunes National Park, Cagles Mill Lake SW of Indy...not sure how good ANY of these places are? @Carnell75 ??

SECOND DAY: Travel to Canton and tour the NFL Hall of Fame....then drive to Cleveland.

FOUR NIGHTS in Cleveland (Squires Castle, Christmas Story House, Westside Flea Market, Cleveland Metro Parks, Rock River Restoration, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Historical Little Italy, Edgewater Park) LOOKING FOR ADVICE on these places but suggestions for others including things within easy driving distance. Also suggestions for cool places to eat and have drinks.

ON THE WAY HOME we plan to go a different route through South Bend (and see Notre Dame) and then a little of Chicago on the southside...then we have a reservation on August 4th for STARVED ROCK STATE PARK in Oglesby, IL which looks really cool from the online website. Anybody seen this place? https://www.starvedrocklodge.com/starved-rock-state-park/

REALLY OPEN for any suggestions for a route and places to see and things to do from there to St, Louis. Is there anything is Springfield, IL?

As always...THANKS IN ADVANCE for any suggestions and help any of you may be able to provide.

I can imagine the smart-ass remarks like STAY HOME and whatever...but that's fine...sometimes these threads provide some humor and entertainment which is OK too during this time where not much is going on as we are all bored and anxiously awaiting the start of football season.
