I got a smart tv outside that I don't plan to connect to cable. My thought was that I could stream any games on it by verifying my cable subscription in the app. That has worked for everything before now. But the chiefs game today is on cbs and the cbs sports app doesn't list Google Fiber as a provider that can be verified. This is cbs' response to my question,

"Unfortunately, not all television providers that carry the CBS Sports Network are contracted to provide authenticated live-streaming. We do apologize that Google Fiber is not a participating television provider for this service. However, we’re working hard to add more TV providers in the future."

Is my only option to run a cable line to the tv? I would think I could subscribe to nfl Sunday ticket but then I'd still be out for March Madness.
