They are not overly skilled, not particularly athletic, not particularly good at shooting, don’t have a system or style that they are schooled in that gives real matchup problems, and most disappointingly have been inconsistent defensively which was supposed to be their identity and the hallmark of their coach and reason for sacrificing some of the lacked shooting and skill. They really don’t have 1 part of their game that can be pointed to and say “this is who we are” and then be able to go to that and rely on it when needed.
13-4 (6-4) is a successful season so far, but it is hard to watch this team and consistently walk away saying “man, we are really good at (insert attribute here)”. At least not with any real consistency. They’ve been successful to this point, but really hard to watch and walk away saying “they are good”.
