I'm optmisitc for 2 reasons:
1. For some reason Mizzou has alwasy seemed to play down to it's level of competition in the OOC schedule... few blowout wins... many scares.. and some boneheaded losses. Over the last 2 years the team has only lost 2 SEC games (regular season) we start that SEC stretch right now. We can't possibly be this bad on offense can we? maybe I don't want to know the answer
2. The Defense is good... very good... and so young that it's only going to get better. (seems to be a recurring theme during MM's time under center at Mizzou.
a side note: Anyone who wants to complain about our OOC schedule probably needs to wake up. The only thing tougher opponents would have gotten Mizzou is a loss and knocked out of the rankings. Clearly this team needed these games to work on some things (i'm not sure if they don't need 7 or 8 more). But at the minimum we survived and advanced and head into Lexington next week undefeated and ranked.
