...Missouri's new JUCO defensive line target on the phone today. George said he really likes Mizzou's staff and the rep the program has in developing defensive lineman in the past. Have a sense the Tigers will be hard to beat going forward since they were proactive and were the first power five team to offer him in the JUCO chapter of his playing career. He wants to play power five football again. Other teams like South Florida and Nebraska are also showing interest, so expect some other schools to eventually get involved.
He said he's aiming to be an early enrollee and will likely wait until December to make a commitment. They are playing fall ball at Independence and other JUCO programs, so they are essentially having their spring practices in the fall as JUCO's pushed back football to next semester due to COVID. George told me that he's planning to release another set of highlights as fall ball progresses to see if he generates anymore more interest from schools.
George played HS ball at Pace Academy in Georgia and signed with Miami out of high school as a fullback and transferred to Independence at the beginning of this year where he added weight and moved to the defensive line.
