I'm laying this terrible season at the feet of Coach Cuonzo. It absolutely took injuries to Tilmon and Smith for him to play the young guys. So in all actuality, he lucked up on momentum and hope for the fan base. If Smith never got hurt Pinson wouldn't be taking off like he has. For some reason Smith had a get out of jail free card all season. He had quite a few clunkers this season but still started and got consistent minutes.

If Tilmon doesn't get hurt, we don't see Jackson or Braun out there for extended minutes to give us hope for next season. All this time I've been thinking they weren't ready, but it looks like coach has been restricting them. Feel bad that Tilmon and Smith got hurt, but them getting hurt has brought some much needed energy and hope to the fan base with their replacements.

Lastly, if Pinson keep playing the way he has the rest of the season he ain't coming back. Too many professional options for an athletic scoring guard. He kind of reminds me of Dooling and how sneaky good he actually is.
