We've covered everything from Mizzou/South Carolina. What about the rest of the weekend?

1) I say all the time the reason we watch sports is because you never know when you're going to see something completely unexpected or something you've never seen before. The latest example: Kansas 57, Texas 56 (yes, I'll capitalize the K for a day).

Twitter was made for games like that. There were a million different memes and snarky comments that were hilarious. Kansas had lost 100 straight games as a 24 point underdog. Texas had won 79 straight games as a 24 point favorite. Kansas hadn't won a road game in the Big 12 in 13 years. Texas hadn't lost five straight games since the 1950s. That's all over. On the strength of a two-point pass from a third-string quarterback to a walk-on fullback WHO HAD NEVER PLAYED AN OFFENSIVE SNAP BEFORE SATURDAY the Jayhawks pulled off the biggest upset in college football this season. I could post 100 tweets on this game alone that made me laugh. But I'm just going to post one. I don't care where the kid goes to school. If you've ever played sports or had a kid who played sports, this one hits you.

2) I didn't expect to spend a combined three hours watching Kansas/Texas and Samford/Florida, but that's what happened yesterday. The Gators won 70-52 and Emory Jones threw six touchdown passes and none of that matters. Samford has lost to Mercer and Chattanooga and VMI in the last month. And then went into the Swamp and scored more points than any FCS team ever has against an SEC team and put up more than 500 yards of total offense. I never thought Dan Mullen was getting fired until yesterday. He loses to either Mizzou or Florida State, I think he goes. And he might go anyway. At least Todd Grantham can know this morning that firing him as defensive coordinator didn't fix anything.

3) It wasn't a good day for the SEC Southwest. Oklahoma got dominated 27-14 by Baylor. The score in and of itself isn't a shock. Oklahoma has flirted with disaster all year long and Baylor is a legitimately good team. The Sooners had just 260 yards of total offense, the lowest of the Lincoln Riley era. And then Riley went full whine after the game. Baylor called a timeout with three seconds left and a 24-14 lead. The students, thinking the game was over, rushed the field. It took a while to get everybody back in the stands and get the players out of the locker room and once that happened, Dave Aranda kicked a field goal. He said after the game he did it because eventually point differential could come into play as a tiebreaker to make the Big 12 title game. Riley was super salty about it. Was it kind of a dick move? Probably. But Oklahoma has bullied people in that league for decades. At least Aranda had an actual reason for doing it, even if you don't think he should have. Personally, having seen some of the beatdowns the Sooners have administered for the entirety of my lifetime, I'm never going to feel sorry for them.

4) College kickers, man.

62 yards for the win. Damn. Well done, kid.

5) The SEC West is absolutely wild. Alabama leads the division at 5-1 and only needs to beat Arkansas OR Auburn to lock up a spot in the conference title game. But here's the chaos scenario:

Bama loses both, Ole Miss beats Vandy and loses to Mississippi State, Texas A&M beats LSU, Auburn beats South Carolina, Arkansas beats Missouri.

If those seven games go exactly that way, there is a SIX-WAY TIE for the division with all six finishing 5-3. I mean, it's not going to happen. But I kind of hope it does because we've never seen anything like that. The only guarantee? LSU is going to finish last in the West. Nothing can change that.

6) Wake Forest is one win from the ACC title game. The Demon Deacons beat NC State 45-42 yesterday to move to 9-1, 6-0. They have to beat either Clemson or Boston College to make win the Atlantic Division (side note, if you asked me to name the teams in either the Atlantic or the Coastal division, there's absolutely no chance I could do it). If Wake Forest loses both of those games, Clemson will make the conference championship game by virtue of a head to head win over Wake. The opponent will be Pitt if the Panthers beat Virginia next week. If the Cavaliers win that game and then beat Virginia Tech, UVA makes the title game as the Coastal champ.

7) Indiana is the most disappointing team in the country. The Hoosiers got beat 35-3 by Rutgers yesterday. They are 2-8 and 0-7 in the Big Ten. Two years ago, Tom Allen was thought of as a guy big time programs might try to go after. Now, he's at the helm of the country's most underwhelming team.

8) UNLV beat Hawaii 27-13 for its second straight win after having lost its previous 14 over two years. I really only posted that so I could post this.

9) Normally I post my Heisman ballot here. I've got no clue. Literally can't think of a player I'm sure should be in the top three, though Kenneth Walker III probably should. Anyway, my Heisman picks are on hiatus for a week.

The playoff if it started today (even though I don't think Alabama should be No. 2 it will be):

1) Georgia vs 4) Ohio State
2) Alabama vs 3) Oregon

I'd probably make OSU 2, Oregon 3, Alabama 4, but that's not what it will be.

Georgia is in assuming it doesn't lose two of its next three (Charleston Souther, Georgia Tech, SECCG). The other three are in if they win out, but only if they win out.

Teams that still have a realistic chance: Cincinnati, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma State

Teams that still have a chance but need A LOT of help: Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Wake Forest

Teams that theoretically have a chance, but almost certainly not: Ole Miss, Baylor

10) Five games I'll watch next week other than Mizzou/Florida

Oregon at Utah, TBD
: Don't care at all, but Utes could knock Oregon out and get Cincinnati in

Michigan State at Ohio State, 11 am, ABC: Loser is out of the playoff discussion

Wake Forest at Clemson, 11 am, ESPN: I haven't seen Wake play a single snap this season. They look fun.

Iowa State at Oklahoma, 11 am: Remote's gonna be busy in the early window

Oklahoma State at Texas Tech, 7 pm: Pokes are one of the country's more under the radar really good teams, but winning in Lubbock isn't automatic
