The narrative that the SEC was weaker if you just take the bowl results. The SEC won 3 games the BiG all but one. However, the BiG was the right ranked team in every game it played and lost it's only game against the SEC. Also the SEC was the lower ranked team in all but 2 games. This was caused by the fact SEC got 2 teams in the playoff and the BiG got none. You can also say the SEC won the most important games. Either way the National Championship will feature TWO SEC team that beat a higher ranked opponent.
