BASKETBALL RECRUITING

Let's start off with hoops because why not?

The transfer tracker is being kept up to date in case you miss any day to day developments with guys Missouri has contacted. Here's what we know:

Warrick is visiting Missouri beginning today. USC, Penn State, Cincinnati and Seton Hall are the other schools in his top five. But the first visit being to Mizzou is a positive sign for the Tigers. As a general rule, you want to be the first to take a shot at a transfer. Most of these guys make a decision when they know. They don't play out the process and take five visits and sit back and decide. There just aren't enough spots for that. So a commitment from Warrick this weekend wouldn't be a surprise if Missouri's staff is pushing for it. And the fact they're bringing him to campus coming off the dead period indicates they want him.

To our knowledge, Warrick is the only visitor this weekend. Sources have told us that is the case. We do want to put out a warning, though, that it's becoming apparent to us Missouri is keeping things on the down low on the transfer front this year. Nobody knew Jacob Crews was in town. We got lucky to find out about Tony Perkins when he was spotted at dinner with Dennis Gates and Charlton Young. You're not seeing many reports about Mizzou transfer activity because those involved quite obviously aren't really telling anyone. In other words, we wouldn't be shocked if there are other visitors in town this weekend that we don't know about. If we learn anything else, we'll let you know.

Some developments with other transfers Mizzou has been tied to:

Visiting UAB this weekend

There is some chatter that Kansas State is focusing on other targets. If Missouri's serious about him, you'd expect a visit pretty soon unless he decides he doesn't need one because he's familiar with Mizzou already.

Top four is Arkansas, USC, UCF and Michigan State

Visiting Washington on Tuesday

No new visit news on Perkins outside of some Twitter speculation he might be visiting Oregon. The news here is more to give everyone an idea of what kind of finances we're talking about. Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said this week that Perkins would demand somewhere around $500,000 in NIL and the Hawkeyes weren't able to meet that price for him. So that's what you're looking at for a high major starter.

Top six is Colorado State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Houston, West VirginiaTexas Tech

Currently visiting Fordham

Visiting Louisville

Committed to Providence

Committed to Arizona State

We reported Mizzou would reach out to Ballo this week, but he already has visits set with Indiana, Louisville and Kansas State as well as planned trips to North Carolina and Florida.

Until we're told otherwise we still expect Porter to end up at Mizzou, but there have been no new developments we know of and we don't know a timeline.

FOOTBALL RECRUITING

- With four-star QB Matt Zollers in the fold, we took a look at five potential targets that could be the next commit for the Tigers in the 2025 class - CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS

- Three-star OL Antoni Ogumoro became the latest target to publicly set an official visit with Missouri for the weekend of May 17th. He was at Missouri back in March for a spring practice after picking up an offer from the Tigers in February. Ogumoro will have a different recruiting approach, as he intends to spend the month of June in Saipan, his native country. Therefore, he'll take all of his officials in April and May. That journey will begin this weekend at Oklahoma State, then Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Kansas State before Missouri gets his last official in May. It's very likely Ogumoro will make his college commitment before the month of June begins.

- ICYMI, we did a couple of more official visit profiles on 4-star DE Smith Orogbo and 3-star, in-state LB Jason King.

- Three-star CB Zadian Gentry included Missouri among his Top 5 on Wednesday along with SMU, Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Wisconsin. We didn't include Gentry in our "next commit" article, but he could very well be a prime candidate as he is cousins with Missouri running backs coach Curtis Luper. He visited the Tigers back in March and explained why they are in the mix for him - CLICK HERE

- Four-star CB Mason Alexander was back at Missouri on Thursday. The Indiana native was previously at Mizzou during the season for the LSU game, which was shortly after picking up an offer from the Tigers. He currently has officials set with Wisconsin, Pitt, and Purdue.

Missouri currently has a couple of safeties in Jotavian Pierce and Jarcoby Hopson coming in for summer officials, but are looking to add some more secondary options to the summer visit list.

- Three-star DB Sekou Smith, Jr. is also expected to visit Missouri today. The Tigers have yet to offer the Miami (Fla.) Central product, but that could very well change during his visit. His other notable offers include Miami, Arizona, Ole Miss, Louisville, Texas A&M, and Louisville.

- Another visitor expected on Friday is Wisconsin tight end Trent Oiler. Oiler's only Power Five offers so far are Boston College and Rutgers, but he's on the radar of the Tigers and some other major conference schools.

- Donovan Robinson was a new offer for Missouri in the 2025 class this week. While listed as a safety, with his size, he's being recruited as a linebacker at the college level. Virginia has received a recent visit and he has an official visit set with the Cavs this summer. Illinois, the home state school, is another program that is making a strong push for the three-star prospect as well.
