SIGNING DAY WRAP
Sure, there was a lack of drama surrounding Missouri's February version of National Signing Day, but sequels hardly ever live up to the originals. The Tigers signed a bulk of their class in December and the official announcement of McCallie (Tenn.) running back BJ Harris was just icing on the cake.

Rivals Exclusive: One-on-one with Eli Drinkwitz
Signing Day, Part 2
Time Capsule: 2021 Recruiting Class
WHAT'S LEFT
Save the icing.
In his interview with Rivals.com, Drinkwitz mentioned that they are saving three spots on the roster to add down the road whether it's by way of JUCO, grad transfer, or a regular transfer. Defensive back, offensive tackle, and defensive end will likely be the positions the Tigers will focus on adding moving forward into the summer.
There really isn't a timetable for transfers. It could happen at legitimately any time between now and August. But what we know is that Missouri is operating with three spots left in this class. The number for next year and beyond is completely up in the air as everyone waits for rulings on what the NCAA will do with roster and scholarship limits for the Class of 2022 and beyond after giving a free year to every single player in the country this year.
2022 UPDATES
- Williams put Missouri among his Top 10 back on November 30th, but it sounds like the Tigers are trending towards the back of the pack according to his recent interview with Alec Simpson at TrojanSports.com. The four-star noted that USC, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Arkansas, and Oklahoma were the schools that he has the strongest connections with.
- Horn has said recently that Missouri is "number one right now" when it comes to schools sticking out. That was back in December. The four-star has since picked up new offers from the likes of Vanderbilt, Illinois, and Florida earlier this week. The competition for the four-star will likely continue to grow as Horn is coming off a stellar junior season, but the Tigers have been in pursuit for nine months now and that should go a long way moving forward.
- The recently offered running back committed to Oklahoma State
- Burden caught up with SoonerScoop.com earlier this week and said he is still solid with Oklahoma and is talking with the daily. He did note that other teams are still recruiting him and will do so until he signs his NLI. Alabama, Texas, Baylor, Illinois, and Missouri are among those programs that continue to keep in touch.
"Missouri, they are getting a lot of guys from St. Louis. They are doing a good job. I know a lot of guys that are up there right now that are going to Mizzou. Oh yeah, those guys hit me up (about coming with them)."
Burden also noted that he's transferring to East St. Louis so he can become a mid-year enrollee in college.
- The St. Louis area defensive tackle released his Top 8 earlier this week and the Tigers made the cut along with Alabama, Penn State, Iowa State, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Indiana.
Josh Helmholdt offered this nugget from his interview with Gracial: "Gracial told me Alabama and Missouri were the two schools he was most excited about visiting once the dead period ended."
- ICYMI, we talked with Jointer earlier this week. The three-star prospect just had a recent virtual visit with Missouri and told us he communicates with running backs coach Curtis Luper on a daily basis. Utah, Arizona State, and Boston College are other programs he's talking a lot too and in the process of setting up virtual visits with.
