***PLEASE NOTE: IF A PROSPECT IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE CHAMBER, WE DO NOT HAVE ANY NEW INFORMATION ON HIM. WE ARE NOT HOLDING BACK. THERE'S JUST NOTHING TO REPORT***

For most of you who are on here a lot, much of this week will be a recap. The dead period started Sunday which means there can still be news and commitments and such, but no visits until it ends January 12th.

That means there are only three official visit weekends before National Signing Day, which falls on February 1 this year. Let's look at where things stand for Mizzou:

The Tigers have 19 commitments after Missouri and Roderick Ford parted ways this week. From what I'm hearing, this wasn't a flat decommitment. Ford never answered me, but my information says this was kind of a "maybe it wouldn't be the worst idea if you looked around" situation.

Anyway, with 19 commitments, the Tigers can sign UP TO nine more on February 1. But how can you do that? Isn't the limit 25? The limit is 25 on National Signing Day. Yasir Durant, Pompey Coleman and Isaiah Miller signed with Mizzou on Wednesday. Durant signed a letter of intent. The other two signed financial aid agreements, which means they're not technically bound to Mizzou until they actually show up in a class on campus on January 17th, but there is no indication either one would look elsewhere. So those three count back toward last year's class, leaving 25 for this year. As of right now, Mizzou has 86 players on scholarship. That means at least one has to depart even if they don't get another commitment. If they go to a full 25 on scholarship, 10 have to leave by August, in addition to Marvin Zanders and Keyon Dilosa.

Here are our predictions for targets by position:

Offensive Line-1
Defensive Line-3
Cornerback-2
Safety-1

That leaves two spots. The Tigers could fill them, but don't have to. If they do, another linebacker, defensive lineman or wide receiver are the likely places with quarterback being a possibility made more likely if Reyondous Estes looks around.

Speaking of Estes (and Jeff Thomas for that matter) there really isn't any new info and probably won't be. The ESL people don't really do interviews. It's probably going to be National Signing Day or close before we know anything of substance. The next thing to watch is do those two (or either one of them) visit Missouri in January? And does Estes make it to campus in Champaign for an official visit to Illinois, which he did not last week.

On to targets that remain on the board:

*We are told Caleb Perry is out of the picture for Mizzou. Larry Rountree and Miller filled the running back spots. We thought Mizzou might take a third if it was the right guy, but our info is that they won't take Perry at this point. I'd assume Washington State is the landing spot.

*We are still waiting on news from recent visitors Adam Sparks, Caleb Sampson, Jordan Ulmer and Zion Debose.

Sparks told us he would do an interview via direct message this week, answered one question and then stopped. He said the visit went well. We know no more than that.

We asked Sampson last night if he had a timetable for making a final decision. He said "Not really." So that's that. Sampson was offered by Kansas State earlier this week.

Ulmer has done no interviews following visits to Mizzou and Minnesota.

Debose spoke very highly of his trip to Columbia and is mulling whether to take scheduled trips to Rutgers and/or Pitt.

We are told that Mizzou feels as if it is in good shape with all of the four mentioned above. They would take all four. However, obviously none of them are on the commitment list at this point in time and haven't given anyone a decision.

A couple of new names to watch: Georgia OL Tony Gray tweeted that he would take visits to Mizzou, Cal, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Florida. He also said "these are not my top schools." We have absolutely no idea what to make of that right now.

Peoria OL Kendrick Green tweeted about an offer from Mizzou earlier this week. It will be interesting to see if the Tigers get a visit. Green was reportedly down to Iowa, Illinois and Indiana prior to the Tiger offer. Not sure what to make of it at this point in time.

That's where we stand today. Things will change in the next six weeks. A lot. Stay tuned.
