FOOTBALL RECRUITING
AND ANOTHER ONE
- Missouri added more talent and college experience to their backfield this week with the addition of Jadarrius Perkins, who is now enrolled in CoMo and will participate in spring practice. With the addition of Perkins, Missouri now has welcomed 12 mid-year enrollees to their roster.
In case you missed our coverage of Perkins' addition, here are the links below:

Commit Analysis: Jadarrius Perkins
WHAT'S LEFT?
- With Perkins now on the roster, Missouri should have about 3-4 more spots they are looking to fill. Once again, we're pretty confident that BJ Harris will sign his NLI with the Tigers next week. We expect Missouri will look to add an offense tackle, a safety, and an edge rusher with Mizzou moving on from Shemar Pearl.
TRANSFER WATCH
https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2016/austin-myers-4577
- TCU senior offensive lineman Austin Meyers entered the transfer portal earlier this week, he one of the latest follows by Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz. Meyers is a redshirt senior that offers versatility - he appeared in six games last season, starting three at left tackle and then moved to right guard. He's appeared in 32 total games and in 2018, he started 10 games for TCU playing left tackle, left guard, and right guard. In 2019, he played in 11 games, making four starts at right guard.
2022 NOTES
- Nwankpa was one of the top 2022 targets that new defensive coordinator Steve Wilks reached out to since he was officially hired. Despite our efforts, we haven't heard back from the four-star prospect, but he recently put the Tigers among his Top 12 and is a major target for Mizzou.
- We chatted with Richardson this week, who is a pretty excitable and energetic prospect to talk to. He said he was excited about his new offer from Missouri and liked Marcus Johnson's personality and pedigree. The three-star prospect is planning to have a FaceTime chat with Missouri's staff soon. Richardson said every school is on even playing field right now and he's hoping to make a commitment during the spring. We think Kentucky and Florida State are two schools to keep an eye on right now.
- Jointer is a prospect that has had a Missouri offer for a year now. The Tigers' staff is ramping up their recruiting efforts for the three-star prospect since the new year and they hosted him for a virtual visit on Wednesday evening. Jointer says he talks to running backs coach Curtis Luper on a daily basis. We'll have a more in-depth interview with the Little Rock native over the weekend.
- Tolan is currently unrated, but expect that to change soon as he's also picked up offers from the likes of Penn State, Virginia Tech, Miami, and Nebraska during the month of January. While Tolan hails from Florida currently, he told us that he's quite familiar with Missouri and their program having grown up in the East St. Louis area where most of his friends and family still reside.
The top player in the state--and No. 7 overall--is transferring to East St. Louis. That's seen generally as a good thing for Missouri's chances. Not that it's going to automatically change anything. High school coaches don't make decisions for kids. But area coaches generally think very highly of Eli Drinkwitz and from what we are told, few if any think more highly of what he's doing than Darren Sunkett. Again, it's not going to automatically mean Burden flips, but it's certainly not going to hurt Missouri's chances.
There has been speculation for a while that the Tigers are a potential destination for Burden. It's nothing that's played out publicly, but we've heard it from enough places that we certainly believe it's a possibility in the next 11 months. We have no timetable on a flip if it does end up happening. It might not. But there's at least a chance and it's worth monitoring.
BASKETBALL RECRUITING
Missouri has one or two spots left in this class as of right now. We expect it to be a transfer heavy approach in the spring. There is one situation specifically we believe is worth monitoring.
Bradford has started 13 of Kansas State's 18 games and is averaging 6.8 points and 3.9 rebounds. It will be surprising if Bruce Weber doesn't get fired there. The Cats are dreadful (5-12, 1-8 with six consecutive double digit losses). If Weber is out, Bradford could hit the portal and Missouri would be a spot to watch.
