We are proud to welcome Billiards on Broadway back for another year as our partner and the presenting sponsor of the juiciest dish on PowerMizzou. If you're looking for the inside scoop on Mizzou recruiting, The Chamber is the place. If you're looking for the best burger in Columbia, Billiards on Broadway is your go-to. A great place to watch a game, play some pool and pair a great local beer selection with one of Columbia's best meals. Local sports, Local beer, Local food--all under one roof at Billiards!

We are in a relatively quiet period. Visits can't happen until the middle of next week. Missouri will likely be bringing some 2026 prospects in starting next weekend and right around the time fall camp opens. But for right now, there's a bit of a lul and some of the coaches may even get a few days off before we ramp up with camp, visits and the season. So there's not a ton, but we've got a couple updates on 2025 prospects and we start to give you a look at players who you will be hearing about in 2026.

A couple of quick notes on 2025 prospects

Babalola is expected to make a commitment by the start of the football season. It could very well come before that. Michigan, Stanford, Oklahoma, Missouri and Auburn are under consideration. Earlier this week, Midwest analyst Greg Smith made a Michigan prediction. That wouldn't be a shock at all. Babalola has played this one pretty close to the vest. Missouri feels it's still alive. But there's nothing telling us Mizzou is the favorite. We'd be shocked if he ended up at Auburn.

This is a similar situation. There's nothing officially telling us it's over, but there's also no reason to be overly optimistic. Miami and Utah seem to have more momentum than Mizzou, as we've ben telling you since his official visits wrapped up.

The attention, for the time being, has mostly turned to 2026. Here are some quick notes on guys in that class

- Five-star, in-state OL Jackson Cantwell, the crown-jewel of the 2026 class for Missouri and many others, whittled his list of choices down to 14 on Thursday. Nothing to get rather excited about, except for the fact that Missouri made the cut. Since March, the perception has been this is currently a two-team battle between the Tigers and Georgia and we still think that's where things are at with the Nixa (Mo.) product.

- In terms of other 2026 OL that Missouri is after, well, the Tigers' offered a couple of new guys this week in current Auburn commit Kail Ellis and former Arkansas commitment Bear McWhorter. Both are Georgia kids, both are four-star products, and Ellis finds himself within the Rivals250 Rankings.

- Maxwell Riley, the No. 9 prospect in the country out of Avon Lake (Oh.), is expected to visit Missouri towards the end of the month. He recently included the Tigers among his Top 7 along with Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.

- Missouri also hosted Rivals250 offensive tackle Sam Greer and rising guard Noah Best for a camp this summer.

Here are ten other names you're going to want to know for the 2026 class. These aren't necessarily the top ten targets or the ten Missouri has the best shot with. They're just players that you're going to want on your radar as that class becomes more of the focus going forward.

DL Titan Davis
TE JC Anderson
LB Keenan Harris
DT Danny Beale
RB Dezephen Walker
TE Jack Utz
QB Michael Clayton
DL Anthony Kennedy Jr
QB Quinn Murphy
OL Johnnie Jones

Mizzou is losing 18 players at a minimum after this year. Throw in players who might go pro early and others who will transfer and you're likely looking at a class somewhere in the low 20s. Here's our best guess at the positions Mizzou will want to target. Obviously the numbers aren't exact, they're just our best guess at this time.

QB: 1
RB: 1
WR: 2
TE: 1-2
OL: 3
DE: 2
DT: 2
LB: 2
CB: 1-2
S: 2

That leaves you 3-5 spots to go best available or oversign at a spot or go to the portal.
