*A couple of other recent developments

- Rashaud Hurt is the latest 2025 running back target for Missouri. The Oklahoma native camped with the Tigers on Thursday and picked up an offer in the process. Missouri becomes his first P4 offer, Tulsa and North Texas have also offered. Hurt appeared in only two games and missed a majority of his season due to torn ACL. He is obviously very interested in Missouri and is waiting for the coaching staff to get in touch with him about setting up an official visit, so he could be another addition for the weekend of June 21st. We'll keep you posted.

- Ohio State offered three-star tight end target Brody Lennon on Thursday and he quickly set up an official visit with the Buckeyes for June 21st. Lennon took an official with Missouri back on May 31st. He also visited Wisconsin last weekend and will be at Kentucky this weekend.

*Missouri's class currently has nine commitments. We are projecting an overall class of right around 20 this year (with the portal, this is the new normal. Most teams are leaving a few spots open because they know there will good, experienced players available in December and April and you need to have roster space for them. That means we're looking at 10-12 spots left for high school kids in the class. In an ideal world, those spots will be filled--or very close to it--before the season starts. This is the new calendar. Visits are in May and June, commitments happen before high school and college seasons happen and the portal dominates December and January.

So with no official visitors this weekend (Mizzou loaded up the first two weekends and will do so again next weekend, but does not have anyone we know of coming to town today) let's take a look at what we think could develop over the next few weeks. Here are the players we consider most likely to fill out the class, in the order of likelihood:

Charles Bass, safety: Bass visits next weekend. It would be a surprise to most if a commitment to Missouri doesn't follow fairly soon after.

Shaun Terry, wide receiver: Terry is still visiting Michigan this weekend. There had been some thought that might not happen, but the trip is on. Kentucky is in the conversation. But Mizzou has felt good about its position with Terry for quite some time and he promoted the Tigers on social media like we've rarely seen after his visit. For now we've got him in the likely commit column.

Keiton Jones, offensive lineman: Jones is supposed to visit Arkansas this weekend and Kansas State next weekend. It appears to be pretty much a regional battle for the Coffeyville, KS product. It seems that Mizzou is in excellent position here.

Jayvan Boggs, wide receiver: Boggs canceled trips to Florida, USC and Georgia after visiting UCF. The only visit he didn't cancel is the one to Mizzou next weekend. Assuming he gets to campus next week, we like Missouri's position a lot. He could be higher on this list.

Lamont Rogers, offensive line: He's got Texas, Oklahoma and Florida State visits in the next ten days. He's already been to SMU and Texas A&M (that's six officials, so we wonder if one of the local schools was actually an unofficial). It's stiff competition. We're banking on Mizzou's position as the perceived leader going into his visits holding strong after the trips.

Trent Oiler, tight end: Missouri is going to take a tight end in this class. With the Ohio State offer, we think Lennon is less likely. Most believe Chase Loftin has Florida State in front at this point. Look for Mizzou to put the full court press on for Oiler next weekend. If it doesn't get Oiler, it could reevaluate the board and go after another tight end.

Jacob Washington, wide receiver: He told us Missouri was his leader after last weekend's visit. But he has visits to Baylor and Michigan coming and you always have to take comments immediately after an official visit with a grain of salt, which is why we don't have him higher on the list. There's definitely a shot the Tigers' momentum holds and they get him.

Jamarion Morrow, running back: There was a time where a commitment was expected. It was a surprise when it didn't happen. He's taken visits to Alabama and Texas A&M. If he makes it to campus next weekend, Missouri has its chance to lock this one down. We still feel solid about Mizzou's chances, but the fact they're offering some other running backs indicates they're putting some contingencies in place if something has changed Morrow's mind in the last few weeks.

Carius Curne, offensive line: He visited Arkansas last weekend, LSU this weekend and is expected to announce his commitment next week. Honestly, we'd probably have LSU as a slight favorite here, but we think Missouri is in the thick of it.

Iose Epenesa, defensive end: Epenesa is at Miami this weekend, then Utah. There have been a lot of whispers that perhaps Iowa isn't the favorite here. But with a dad and brothers that went there (all of whom went to Iowa City for his visit last weekend) it's pretty obvious what the family hope is. That doesn't mean it definitely happens, but you still have to have Iowa as the most logical landing spot. If it's not Iowa, we love Missouri's chances.

Mark Manfred, cornerback: We're not super confident in this one, it's more of a process of elimination. Manfred is the only corner on Mizzou's visit list this month. He has visited Miami and Cincinnati and is supposed to be at Ole Miss this weekend in addition to Mizzou (not sure of the dates on those at this point).

Corey Simms, wide receiver: Mizzou is in the top three. From all the public comments, it seems as if the Tigers and Penn State are chasing USC right now, but again, those comments came immediately after an official visit. Getting Simms here on the same weekend as Boggs and Matt Zollers can't hurt. We don't feel great about it, but if Mizzou can pull this one out it's one of the bigger wins of the year.

We'd say we feel very good about the first four on this list, pretty good about the next four and skeptical on the last four. If Mizzou gets nine or more on this list, it's basically done with the high school class in all likelihood. If it starts to miss on some of them you could see fall official visits scheduled for the next tier of propsects at those positions. The next two or three weeks will be very busy and will determine the direction of the class. We'll keep you updated on all of it.
