FOOTBALL RECRUITING
Here are some ICYMI updates we recently did...
- We recently caught up with five-star WR target Ryan Wingo, who gave us an update on his recruiting process HERE. To break it down, he intended to visit Missouri for the MTSU game last weekend but those plans changed due to what appeared to be an ankle injury suffered in the third quarter of his game against CBC. Wingo said Missouri will get a gameday visit from him at some point this season. This weekend, he is planning to return to Texas for their game against Wyoming. Of course, the Longhorns are coming off a big road win against Alabama and have some momentum on their side currently. As we've previously said, this still seems to be a MIssouri//Texas battle but Wingo told us he's sticking with his December 20th commitment date, so while Texas has momentum, Missouri will have time to see if their offense can be as exciting and explosive as the one the Longhorns currently possess. Wingo also mentioned Penn State, Texas A&M, and Miami as possible gameday destinations this season as well. We'll see how that all plays out.
- While currently committed to Ohio State, four-star WR Jeremiah McClellan says he'll take other gameday visits this fall. Among the schools he's expecting to visit include Oregon, LSU, and Missouri. For now, we would suggest any excitement surrounding this news. McClellan says he's also planning to take in at least three Ohio State games as well. The CBC product scored three touchdowns in their win over SLUH last weekend, that included a pass-and-catch that went for about 50+ yards.
- We caught up with 2026 safety target Keenan Harris after last Friday's game. He's an underclassmen to keep an eye for Missouri. The Tigers were the first P5 school to jump in on him and he told us he grew a Missouri fan as well and loves how the coaching staff operates and had a lot of great things to say about defensive coordinator Blake Baker.
- 2025 WR target Corey Simms put in a stellar performance last weekend as well, hauling in around 6-7 catches that included a TD that went for around 10-yards. Simms didn't show off his speed too much, as CBC had a more short, intermediate passing attack. But Simms showed why he's one of the fast-risers in the St. Louis area in next year's class with his height and length. We recently caught up with Simms, who visited Missouri a couple of times this summer and says he will return for a game this fall - CLICK HERE
- In case you missed our latest "Commit Profile" video interview with three-star safety pledge Cam Dooley, you can check that out below...
- We also caught up with new OL target Dominic Steward - CLICK HERE. He's currently committed to Troy, but is garnering a bit of buzz with his senior film early on. Missouri OL coach Brandon Jones has been communicating with the Westlake (Ga.) product since May, so the Tigers didn't just step into the recruiting process here. Cincinnati and East Carolina have also recently offered. Steward visited Georgia Tech last weekend, so they are a program to watch if they extend an offer. Regardless, Steward is very interested in Missouri currently and plans to visit for a game this fall.
- And so it begins, earlier this week LSU extended an offer to Missouri DE commit Jaylen Brown. The three-star prospect was a bit of a late-bloomer in the recruiting scene, drawing a bit of P5 interest after impressing at various summer camps. Missouri offered in July and was able to land a commitment from Brown after getting him on campus for the brief live period the last week of July. With LSU jumping in the mix, don't be surprised to see others join as well.
- Missouri hosted a talented group of visitors this past weekend for the Middle Tennessee State win. Among the contingent were 2024 commits Williams Nwaneri, Jude James, Ryan Jostes, Whit Hafer, and Jackson Hancock. There were also some notable underclassmen in town as well, which we'll highlight below.
- The Eureka (Mo.) offensive lineman picked up his latest offer from Missouri during his visit last weekend. The Tigers join Nebraska as early offers for the 6-foot-8, 275-pound prospect.
- One of the nation's best WR's in the 2025 class was back at Missouri last weekend. He's been a frequent visitor to CoMo the last couple of years. Mozee has a ton of other options, but Oklahoma is expected a main contender here as well.
- Mosley was another Rivals250 prospect that was on campus this past weekend. He also picked up an offer from the Tigers during his visit. The four-star also picked up an offer from Kentucky during a visit earlier this season. He's quickly rising as one of the better two-way athletes in 2025.
- Marks was another big visitor on campus last weekend. Missouri jumped in the mix fairly early for the Rivals250 prospect, extending an offer last November. Marks has built a good rapport with DL coach Al Davis and he also has a former high school teammate, Jalen Marshall, at Mizzou as well.
- The weekend visit list is primarily current Mizzou commits. Here are those who we are expecting to be in town:
Jude James
Brian Huff
Nicholas Rodriguez
James Madison
Justin Bodford
Williams Nwaneri
There will certainly be some other prospects there. If we see any of note we'll post them on Saturday before the game. But we don't know in advance of any high profile uncommitted players who will be here. 11 am games are always a little tougher for visits, especially anyone that isn't within a couple hours drive.
