We can talk on here all day (we do) about the little details, but what is the end game strategy for the Ds?

From what I have seen so far, there is 0% chance, in my humble opinion, that Trump gets convicted by the Senate. I'm not even sure he gets the impeachment votes in the HoR, but for the sake of this thread I'll assume they (Ds) successfully impeach DJT45.

Are they hoping that something comes up during the trial that will be the "nail in the coffin" type thing? I doubt that is going to happy. I guess it could though.

Are they hoping an impeachment will tarnish Donnie's image? Any other sitting POTUS, maybe. But, DJT45 will use it to his advantage as only he can do. No other politician in modern US history could do that. Bubba fessed up and the US voters forgave him.

Do they think the US voters will tire on his shady dealings? He was shady 20 years ago, he was shady in 2016 and he is shady now. As I see it, the US voters at some point want some stuff to get done in DC. Right now, almost nothing is getting done. The Don may get votes in 2019 from people that simply think he got treated unfairly in term one, for no other reason.

I beat on this like in drum in hear but I think it's a bad strategy for the Ds, I think Pelosi would agree with me.

If this impeachment stuff runs through next summer into the election with nothing substantial happening, I think the Don somehow wins again. The Ds may shove him right back into the Oval Office. If this ends up happening, the DNC may want to consider going the way of the Montreal Expos.

The Ds should focus on one thing, November of 2019. Talking about issues, not Trump, could win them the election. A mud slinging fight they will lose.
