I talked recently with a guy who is very will connected in the NCAA enforcement world. He had some interesting comments about the NCAA's investigation of KU BB.
1. Jon Duncan, the VP of Enforcement who is a KU Law alum and huge KU fan, has been recused from the whole thing since the beginning.
2. The powers that be in Lawrence are very worried and pessimistic about the outcome.
3. My guy expects the penalties to be among the most harsh ever given to an NCAA BB program.
4. It is moving very slowly and it will probably be the end of next summer before it's announced.
All in all, good news for those of us who despise the Flaw on the Kaw.
