This program is the roadmap for us on how to build a ChampionshipBasketball team. You have a System you believe in and you recruit basketball players who fit the system and it has NOTHING TO DO WITH STARS!
Bo Ryan's team is made up of great basketball players, not necessarily great athletes. They play great TEAM DEFENSE, GREAT BALL AND PLAYER MOVEMENT ON OFFENSE and THEY CAN SHOOT THE BASKETBALL.
These are the kind of players we need and these are the kind of players I think we can recruit. I know there is a amazing player in ST Louis who is a amazing talent and is no doubt a one and done player. In my opinion this is not the player we have to target. We have to recruit players who have basketball skills, who are 4 year players that are coachable and can improve every year they are at Mizzou.
Since Norm left we have had one systems coach who left to the only school we knew if that if Arkansas called he was gone. We've had 2 star counters and the results had initial positive results with terrible, program killing endings.
One virtue we must have here is patience. This program must be built on 2,3 and 4 star players who fit our program(and in time we will know who these players are).
