Someone asked if I could run through why Mizzou missed on those guys. So here's my best attempt at doing so:

Mario Goodrich was never coming here

Daniel Carson never had much interest...and Missouri was okay with that

Ayodele Adeoye also never seemed all that interested in Mizzou. Missouri would have taken him, but wasn't nearly as high on him as some others (and linebacker is a spot where I think it's easy to argue Mizzou did very well).

Dallas Craddieth played the process out and by the time he might have committed to Missouri the Tigers had other guys. When spots opened up at safety, Missouri simply decided other players were better. Would Craddieth have come if he had the option? Maybe, I'm not sure

Kamryn Babb honestly never really had Missouri as a very serious option. He more or less quit responding to Mizzou coaches pretty early on in the process. It seemed to be a pretty well accepted fact Babb was going to Ohio State. Had Missouri won more and had a good season, they'd probably have had a shot, or at least gotten a visit, but that didn't happen.

Cameron Brown loved Nebraska when he went there. He had a great relationship with the Huskers wide receivers coach. Missouri would have taken him when Mike Riley's staff got fired, but then Brown started getting big-time interest and once OSU offered, it was over.

Trevor Trout fell in love with the recruiting process. He seemed like a guy that would commit to Missouri early, but he wanted to go through the process and be recruited. Somewhere along the line, the relationship seemed to sour between him and the Mizzou coaches. The staff cooled on him as a player and he took some subtle jabs at Mizzou on Twitter and in interviews. By October at the latest, that wasn't going to happen.

Ronnie Perkins is the one that surprised me. Even as he piled up offers, Mizzou was considered the favorite. In fact, at one time, I had people telling me they believed he had told the staff he was coming. But the season went south and Ronnell's playing time went with it and Perkins fell in love with Oklahoma. There was a very real chance he was going to flip before the early signing period (there were definitely meetings and discussions with the Mizzou coaches and an official visit), but he signed early with OU. If Missouri had won, this is the one I'm most confident saying they'd have gotten.

Michael Thompson followed his long time friend. Missouri was considered in the driver's seat, but from what I'm told Perkins really sold Thompson on OU at the Army all-American game and convinced him to take a visit. Once Thompson made that trip, Mizzou was pretty much done.
