Isn't "I Hate You."

It's "I don't care."

That's where we are right now. The day after a terrible basketball game and no one is even mad, it's just another game we lost. I don't know when I've been more disappointed in Mizzou athletics.

I think of all the great basketball coaches we passed on that are killing it at other schools. Then I think of our last two football hires. I recall some Mizzou fans actually excited when we hired Odom. What's more, a lot of guys are THRILLED with Drink. Are you kidding me? Look at the coaches that were available over the last few years. Hermann (who I hate) Fuente, Mack Brown, Rhule, Fleck, etc, etc. The fact that guys are gushing over Drinkwitz should be an indicator as to complete lack of expectation we have for our administration. I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me could come up with an amazing list of football and basketball coaches that were available when we made our last few hires.

I used the word describing potential coaches as "available" because the push back will be that they never would have come to Mizzou. Well, why is that? Everything that has happened at Mizzou is Mizzou's fault, from the top on down. Protesters out of control, alleged racism, cheating tutors, etc. The list goes on. This isn't just bad luck, it's just bad.

The fact that we wouldn't interview Lane Kiffin, or try to go get Mike Leach is ridiculous. Look at the excitement around the Ol Miss program, then compare that with what we are doing at Mizzou. I'm not saying we should have hired him, but why in the world wasn't he even considered? We are above that?

Because we aren't above anything right now. We suck at everything, and I don't see how this cycle changes.
