I believe this recent penalty will accomplish several things. Adversity generally produces opportunities...

First the University of Missouri Leadership better go Defcon 1 on the NCAA. They have made excellent assertive comments thus far, but the pressure needs to intensify. The Leaders, Legislators, Alums, and Friends of the Program need to keep the pressure on. If it ends with the statements made thus far, it will be a failure on our part in the PR battle. Win the hearts of those outside of our program by a concerted aggressive PR campaign. Do it respectfully, and keep it going.

Secondly this is a major test for the SEC. This adversity will clearly expose what the SEC thinks of Mizzou as a member of the SEC. Thus far statements made by Greg Sankey are on target. The next few days will spell out whether their is any bite to his bark. The cold reality might be that we find out just how much the SEC could care less about us. It is extremely important to keep the pressure on Greg Sankey. Mike Slive would be at the NCAA doors with a baseball bat. ( figuratively speaking)
