Who has the balls to keep doing what they have been doing? I suspect the memorandums are flying by administrators telling everyone under them they have not and will never participate in payments to athletes and if they do they are acting alone. Then they will meet in person and discuss off the record how to move forward. The less brazen schools that quit their payment plan programs will create a vacuum for some under the radar universities to pick up the slack.
Consider being one of the apparel companies who are obviously involved. Do you have your attorneys contact the FBI and open your books or do you just hope and pray you catch a break and fall between the cracks? How do you move forward with your business plan knowing you are catching a federal case if you get caught?
