Today, in Wisconsin, Republicans voted to curtail the Governor’s power to stop him from removing Wisconsin from the lawsuit against the ACA - one of the principles of his campaign.
Meanwhile, in Missouri, newly elected Senator Burlison filed SB 63 to re-instate Right to Work. This, after it failed a vote of the people by more than 20%.
Personally, im not sure how I feel about either of the intended effects, but using the legislature to vote against what your voters have clearly and directly called for is government overreach and the definition of big government. So, too, is using the legislature’s power to curtail another branch’s power after you lose an election.
