Alex Schiffer, MU beat writer for the Kansas City Star, was the guest speaker at the Tiger Club of KC today. Though he had been scheduled a couple times before, this was Alex's first visit to the Club. Breaking news in Columbia one time, and an ice storm on another occasion, had kept him from appearing. The wait was worth it, though, as Alex dazzled the gathered Tiger fans.
New Jersey born and raised, Alex is a 2017 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Before joining the Star last October to cover the Mizzou beat, Alex built a sold resume in various journalistic endeavors. He has covered recruiting for PowerMizzou.com and 247Sports. He has worked for the Daily Tribune and Missourian in Columbia. And he has been a business intern for both the Washington Post and Los Angeles Times.
