I was in Seattle for a presentation to a city council for a mixed use development (office, retail, dining, multi-family). The meeting was scheduled for an hour. The architect spent the first 15 minutes showing renderings and detailing the overall scope of the development.
The first city councilperson to speak was an older white woman. She and her cronies spent the next 20 minutes admonishing the architect for not having "enough Black people in the renderings" (their words, not mine). They proceeded with a line of questioning asking if "people of color would feel welcome in this development due to the lack of Black people in the renderings" (again, their words, not mine). It's not like there's a Whites Only banner in the renderings, you dumb cünts (my words). And apparently people of color means only Black people because they never mentioned Asians, Hispanics, Mexicans, Latinos/Latinas (you can piss off with your Latinx bullshit). For the last five minutes of this rant, they rambled off ideas amongst themselves for making the development more welcoming for people of color simply based on the quantity of people of color and where they should be standing/sitting in the renderings. ffs
The next 15 minutes were used by another white lady asking about the number of all gender (don't you dare say unisex!) restrooms in the development. In yet another display that liberals give zero fücks about biological women, the issue of penis people pissing all over toilet seats was completely disregarded. Biological women also don't like the community wash stations. But, hey, who gives a fück about biological birthing people, amirite?
Thankfully the last 10 minutes were used to approve the project.
