While the overall sentiment this year has been disappointment in the progress our team has made over the past few years, I pose this question:
What is the value of keeping a coach around for more years, even if they struggle in the first three?
P5 jobs are usually about what can you do for me today, but is there value in giving a coach time to build a reputation and presence in a specific job for more than a handful of years? This isn't a blank check of goodwill, but I really wonder if there are statistics out there that show coaches who stick around for 5+ years, even if they don't become superstars, show serious improvement over their first 3.
