Someone wrote into Clay Travis with a really fun idea: The World Cup of American Football.
Players are divided state teams and they play a tournament in the Spring. Players could play for their home state or the state where they went to college. California, Texas, Florida etc. might have to be divided up into two teams. Whereas Maine/Vermont/New Hampshire, etc. might go together to play on a regional team.
Would Brady play for his home state of California, Michigan, or Mass? Ditto for Andrew Luck.
This would be worth big $$ for the networks and the players.
