It's beyond obvious that Missouri's halfcourt offense is in shambles. As of today, MU had the worst adjusted offensive efficiency rating among Power Five programs. How bad? It sits at No. 284 nationally. Boston College is fifty spots in front of Kim's squad. Then Georgia Tech comes in at No. 202. Point being, this roster's scoring punch is anemic. And it's happening against the No. 324 non-con slate in America.

Once more, let that sink in. Against a schedule designed for easy wins, MU's offense is putrid. That doesn't suggest an off night here or there so far. And this includes a rout of Alabama A&M where Mizzou scored 1.4 points per possession.

Case in point: The production in the lane. Mizzou ranks 48th nationally in the percentage of shots taken at the rim (42.2) and 11th among Power Five teams. Its field goal percentage? It's 60.6. That's 171st nationally. And 12.5 percent of their overall field goal attempts are blocked, which is 314th nationally.

It's not as bad as our jump shooting -- 334th nationally on 2-point shots and 329th for 3-point percentage -- but only compounds it. Go look at hoop-math.com and our splits against a set-five defense, whether it's on a rebound or inbound to start a possession. For example, on possessions that last 11-30 seconds after an opponents made basket, we shoot a 3-pointer 45 percent of the time. Our guys only hit a 25-percent clip.

I could keep spewing numbers, but as we watch this team live, the underlying analytics tell us that what we're seeing may not be off nights. If they struggle again against Miami (Ohio), which 302nd in KenPom, it's certainly a poor omen. Kim's program moved up from 222nd in offensive to 173rd last season. That's basically smack in the middle of Division I, and it was fifth-worst among high-majors. The regression so far, though, isn't a slight drop-off.

If posters are wondering why fans don't want to head to Mizzou Arena, well, here's a bunch of data to explain why: The product, for its level, is woeful.
