Yes, the D was terrible, but with a lot of new guys, there is still a chance to get their heads right and improve. You can't put too much stock in the first week as a season predictor.
Having said that, we got a new mascot today named Waltz. It's terrible. It's like Truman conceived a child with those Nebraska blow-up doll mascots and now we have a blow-up Truman doll. I will quote a fan nearby me who summed it up, "You just went and made it weird!"
I'm generally not in favor of knocking off traditions at other schools and attempting to make them ours. But really, those Nebraska blow-up dolls are creepy. Somewhere a fetish shop is missing merchandise! Why would we copy this? I know Waltz has not worked for the AD for very long, but it's time to consider early retirement. Please!
