I know the loss of Darris Smith hurts. He was probably the most hyped up kid in camp. On all accounts, the kid has been a monster. The dude is built like a brick shit house as well so he certainly looked the part.
What I'm wondering is, in an effort to utilize all of our talent, and in particular to get pressure on the QB, if Batoon and company would consider utilizing a guy like Khalil Jacob's as a third down pass rush specialist/Joker in obvious passing down situations. It's a way to get another proven playmaker on the field. The kid looks explosive on film.
We are deep at linebacker. Just a thought. Obviously we are going to need guys like Zion Young and Eddie Kelley to get to the QB this season (something they have struggled to do thus far in their career).
