As gut-wrenching as yesterday was, one positive I took from it was that we had every chance to beat a solid team on the road with Drew Lock playing very poorly.
I’ve been concerned for some time about how big of a drop off we might experience when Drew leaves, and I’m actually less worried about it after yesterday ... o-line and running backs looked awesome, run defense was good.
Obviously there were concerns, and I’m very anxious to see some improvement in the second half of the season, but assuming Odom does come back (and whether we like it or not, I think he will return at 7-5 or better), I actually am more optimistic about next year and beyond than I was even a couple of weeks ago.
