So this guy was listing fake porn actress search ads on the internet, meeting up with the legal-aged females, telling them they'd reap profits from the video revenues when their clips were posted on overseas websites, had the girls sign contracts & consent forms, gonzo recorded their "audition" with himself as the male partner, and then banged each of them. These are commonly called casting couch videos...or so I've been told.
He was arrested earlier this week and the feds are holding him without bail. At this point, authorities believe this happened with over a dozen women. He's been charged with wire fraud, online enticement, cyberstalking (after the women got pissed off when they weren't ever paid), lying to federal agents, obstructing justice and false registration of a domain name.
What's more interesting is this woman wants him charged with "rape by fraud or deceit." She and others make an interesting case here. Certainly there was consent prior to him porking these ladies, and certainly the women went to the "audition" knowing what type of work they were applying for. In other words, they came to fukc. That being said, since none of the background story he gave was true, i.e. there was no porn gig, no foreign websites and no intended payments, should their consent still be considered actual consent?
I understand the concept of what the "rape by fraud" advocates are saying in the second article. However, isn't that a slippery slope into things like, "We met at a bar, he told me he owned his own financial services business, drove a Porsche and had an 8" dick. I definitely went back to his hotel to have sex with him. When he got behind me and penetrated, I could tell immediately that wasn't 8". I later learned he worked as a call center agent for a predatory auto warranty company and that he drives a 1997 Chevy Cavalier. I would never ever have slept with him had I known all of this up front."
I'm interested in everyone's thoughts on this. At a minimum, it's a thought provoking case.
