The half court offense.
There's not nearly enough cutting with and without the ball. It's such a stark contrast on possessions when the point is able to drive deep in the lane and it opens up easy dumps to the post.
In tonight's game it also looked like they were almost in a stall offense with over 5 minutes left. You need one of two things for that to work: 1) an effective set which can be run with 8 seconds left or 2) a dominant player that can create their own shot (come quickly, MPJ). This team has neither.
The same problems contributed to the WVU loss. If they happened to luck into getting the ball by the press and across half court, by the time they were composed there were 10 seconds left on the shot clock and they threw up a bad shot after some pointless dribbling.
I'm hoping they improve as the season goes or I'm gonna be nervous anytime they're not up by 20 points in the second half.
