1. I love that the officiating is so much looser in the tournament. They generally let them play instead of blowing a whistle every 15 seconds. They need to call games the same in conference play..would make the sport so much more enjoyable. That said, they still make phantom calls at key points to insert themselves in the game. The end of Purdue Tennessee was ludicrous. There was NO way he was fouled when he jacked up that three. May have been worst call of the year..
2. Because the officiating is looser the players are allowed to get into a rhythm. It’s fun to watch the Purdue kid go off for 42. There have been games just going back and forth with threes and scores because of it. It’s fun to watch these kids take off.
3. TX Tech winning and getting to the Final Four is a good thing. It shows you can turn a basketball program around relatively quickly and you don’t have to be Duke or Kentucky to get to the mountain top. That’s good for Mizzou.
