As @GabeD says when I post video of our annual visit from Sam Mellinger, “This won’t end well.” That may be the case again ... but, being the glutton for punishment that I am, I’ll post anyway.
Mellinger (a KC Star Columnist and graduate of the university that won’t play us) always draws a good crowd when he visits the Tiger Club of KC, as he did today. After he spoke, he visited with Club president Mark Fitzpatrick, and the video is posted below.
If you came out today, thanks for doing so. We had a good crowd, especially for it being the day after a holiday. Besides Sam, we also heard from Tiger Offensive Coordinator Josh Heupel, who addressed the group via telephone hookup from Columbia. The Tiger Club of KC meets every Tuesday during the school year. Meetings begin with lunch at 11:30 a.m. followed by the program at Noon. Meetings take place at Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill. Our very own @firsttiger has once again lined up an excellent lineup of speakers for the year.
We’ll hear from another coach via phone next week, plus we’ll have another great guest: Brad Loos of the Tiger Scholarship Fund will be on hand to discuss Mizzou Athletics, the TSF and the Rally for Rhyan initiative. The Club will collect funds for this special cause during the luncheon. We hope to see you there.
