Here are my recommendations for the Tiger Fan's making the trip to Lexington, KY this weekend, I'm sure there will be other suggestions but this will get you started on where to go for drinks and dining.
Fine Dining:
Malone’s – Prime Steak/Seafood, multiple locations in Lexington, my absolute favorite!
Sal’s Italian Chop House – Part of the same group as Malone’s, Tate’s Creek Road.
Chop House – Food is good but I think a little overpriced, Richmond Road.
Giuseppe’s Ristorante Italiano – Best Italian food in Lexington! Off Nicholasville Road.
Merrick Inn – Great food here as well, off Tate’s Creek Road.
Home Style Cooking/Breakfast:
Ramsey’s Diner – Multiple locations in Lexington, try the Traditional Breakfast.
Winchell’s – Great breakfast, home of many KY fans.
Brew Pubs:
West Sixth Brewing, 501 W. 6th Street, try the Amber.
Lexington Beer Works, 213 N. Limestone
Country Boy Brewing, 436 Chair Ave., try the Cougar Bait.
Chase Brewing, 266 Jefferson Street.
Jefferson Street Area:
Nick Ryan’s
Grey Goose
Manchester Street Area:
Old distillery district with new bars, places like the Break Room are small but friendly, dining is provided by Lexington’s great food trucks.
Downtown:
Cheapside
Side Bar
Pie’s & Pint’s
Numerous other places as well.
Best Drive In – Parkette Drive In, New Circle Road
Best Mexican – Durango’s, Richmond Road
Cajun – Furlong’s, W. Tiverton (off Nicholasville Road, past Fayette Mall)
Others: Bru Burger, Harrodsburg Road, the shrimp andouille sausage mac & cheese is awesome!
Campus - Too many places to choose from, pick one that you can get in to.
Liquor Store – Got to go to the Liquor Barn, one near Bru Burger off Harrodsburg Road, another in the Hamburg area, three others in Lexington for all of your tailgating needs.
