1. Let's get the bad out of the way first, the third quarter was less than ideal. I think it's pretty natural to let up with a 35-0 lead, but I'm sure Barry Odom and the players won't be happy with having done so. It's not a big deal. But it does deserve mention.
2. If Missouri gives out a most improved award it should go to DeMarkus Acy. In the first two weeks, I didn't think you could keep him on the field. Now, he's really playing well. Good for him. He's a physical tackler at corner too.
3. The young guys on defense are impossible to ignore. Chris Turner, Adam Sparks, Joshuah Bledsoe, Tre Williams are all freshmen making plays. Cale Garrett, Terez Hall and Brandon Lee will all be back. Good signs for sure.
4. What do you do about Emanuel Hall? Look, he's been good all season. But he's been dreadful the last two weeks and it's pretty clearly in his head now. You can't throw the ball to him right now. That's tough.
5. Albert Okwuegbunam is going to be special. When he signed, we heard a lot about him, what a great athlete he was at his size. He's delivered. He's one touchdown catch short of the Mizzou freshman record held by Jeremy Maclin. He's going to threaten plenty of records by the time he is done.
