Drink said after Brady Cook took a big hit in the red zone on a QB draw vs Memphis #Mizzou was supposed to run another play, but he could tell BC had trouble breathing and actually told Sam Horn he was going to play in second half. Obviously, that didn’t happen but it almost did.
He said he doesn’t know how people play on that stuff (The Dome field).
Drink said Marquis Johnson is someone they knew was special in fall camp. The issue was trying to find ways to get him involved in the game. They want to give him more snaps.
He said Darius Robinson had really been turning into a dominant DE before the injury but then says the contributions from Nyles Gaddy, Joe Moore, and Austin Firestone in his place were good.
He said Burden, Cook, Norfleet, Marcellus Johnson and Dreyden Norwood were all full participants in practice. Earlier during his presser, he said he expected Burden and Cook to be limited.
He also said he expects Norfleet to play on Saturday.
