Senate Passes Bill Banning TikTok From Government Devices
The move comes in the face of mounting national-security concerns.
The federal government has been allowing the user of TikTok and other social media apps on its fleet of smartphones (hundreds of thousands). Are you fukcing serious right now? This doesn't require legislation. Mass delete it across the board as an operational and cybersecurity decision. And if our federal govt isn't using a modern, mobile device management service with every fleet phone enrolled, then everyone should be fired all the way up to the Big Guy, because it's basic dereliction of duty if they aren't.
I can't believe they're even allowed access to the Play Store, much less usage of an app that tracks every keystroke you type and sends it to China. This has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. It's an employer-issued phone, not a mfing toy.
