Totally off topic WSJ St.Louis

Soooo just read an article in WSJ which depicts St. Louis downtown as a near dystopian wasteland… abandoned buildings, copper thieves and basically nobody there….
Is it really that bad? KC down town has some vacancies but still seems vibrant.
All things Missouri eventually impact the University so… your largest city turning into a blade runner set… not good .
Just curious if true..
